Facility Dogs In Public Schools
A facility dog is a professionally trained, task-ready service dog that works alongside educators, counselors, and staff to support emotional regulation, learning engagement, and social connection throughout the school day. Unlike therapy dogs who visit occasionally, facility dogs are integrated into daily routines, providing consistent, schoolwide support for students and staff in classrooms, counseling offices, and shared spaces.
